TWC releases July Labor Market and Employment reports for RGV

The Texas Workforce Commission has released the July Labor Market and Employment reports for the Rio Grande Valley. Here are the highlights:
Counties:
- Hidalgo County increased by 0.3% to 6.7%
- Cameron County decreased 0.1% to 7.3%
- Starr County increased by 0.3% to 10%
- Willacy County remained constant 5.5%
- Webb County remained constant at 4.7%
Cities:
- McAllen has the lowest unemployment rate in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) at a rate of 4.9%
- Harlingen has the second lowest unemployment rate in the RGV at a rate of 5 %
- Edinburg unemployment rate increased by 0.2% to 5.4%
- Mission unemployment rate increased by 0.3% to 5.9%
- Brownsville unemployment rate decreased by 0.3% to 8.5%
- Laredo unemployment rate remained constant at 4.7%
