Sunshine Haven will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 6, at its facility on 7105 W. Lakeside Blvd. The nonprofit organization, which provides end-of-life care free of charge to terminally diagnosed patients, has served Cameron County residents for a quarter-century. Funded entirely through donations, grants and community support, Sunshine Haven is the only licensed special care facility of its kind in the county.
