The Starr County Industrial Foundation will host the next installment of its SCIF Talks series on May 6 at the Student Activities Center. The event, titled “Infrastructure and the Value of Strategic Planning: Roads, Bridges, Drainage,” will focus on the role infrastructure plays in supporting economic development and long-term growth. Featured speakers include Sam Maldonado, Daniel O. Rios and Pete Alvarez. The discussion will address roads, bridges and drainage systems, as well as the partnerships and planning needed to support future expansion in Starr County.
