The Mission Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has launched the third year of its Ruby Red Ventures – Build Mission Fund, committing $225,000 to support small businesses. The program offers up to $15,000 per business for projects such as facility upgrades, expansions and operational support. Last year, Mission EDC distributed $220,000 among 16 businesses, including family-owned restaurant YumYum and Empire Barber Studio. Applications for the 2025 funding cycle are open Oct. 1–31, with awards expected in November.
