The McAllen Chamber of Commerce and McAllen Economic Development Corporation will host an Altar de Muertos celebration Oct. 28 honoring three influential figures from the city’s history: Mike Allen, Kirk Clark, and Joe Vera. The event, titled McAllen Remembers: Ofrenda Comunitaria, will take place at the McAllen Chamber of Commerce. Open to the public, the celebration will blend Día de los Muertos traditions with a tribute to the leaders’ lasting contributions to McAllen’s growth.
