The McAllen Chamber of Commerce and McAllen Economic Development Corporation held a board retreat to discuss regional competitiveness, future growth and alignment between both organizations. Elizabeth Suarez, president and CEO of the Chamber and EDC, said Texas is “investing in innovation, expanding industry and shaping what competitiveness will look like in the decade ahead,” adding that McAllen is “more aligned, more focused and more capable than ever before.” The retreat brought together state, city and community leaders to review next year’s program of work and strengthen collaboration for McAllen’s continued economic progress.
