The Inter-American Dialogue will host an online event Nov. 14 examining Mexico’s position in the evolving economic relationship between the United States and China as the 2026 USMCA review approaches. The discussion, titled “Mexico at the Crossroads: Navigating U.S.–China Tensions,” will focus on Chinese investment in Mexico, its impact on North American competitiveness and the policy choices facing the Sheinbaum administration. Speakers will include Margaret Myers, Sergio Luna, and Beatriz Leycegui Gardoqui, with opening remarks by Lila Abed, director of the Dialogue’s Mexico Program.
