The Port of Brownsville hosted Index Nacional President Humberto Martínez and regional Index leaders to highlight the port’s role as a logistics hub for Mexico, according to an Index Nacional press release published Sept. 5. It is stated that 90% of the cargo is bound for Mexico, supporting industries including automotive, energy and manufacturing. The visit included discussions on expansion projects, binational trade and investment opportunities, with leaders.
