The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation has been nominated for the Regional Excellence Award in Economic Development by the Rio Grande Valley Partnership. The awards will be announced Dec. 3 at the State of the Region Luncheon, which aims to highlight progress and challenges across the Valley in areas such as education, infrastructure, trade and healthcare. Public voting runs from Sept. 22 through Oct. 17, with winners to be recognized during the annual gathering of elected officials, business leaders and community stakeholders.
