According to a news release, Edinburg reported a more than 32% increase in construction activity this year, with permit valuations reaching $364.3 million as of October, up from $275.6 million during the same period in 2024. The city saw gains across residential, multi-family and commercial sectors, including a year-over-year doubling in multi-family development and nearly double the valuation for new commercial construction. The growth follows years of coordinated planning and infrastructure improvements that have positioned Edinburg as a key development hub in the region.
