Data Report: How sales tax revenues in the RGV have grown over the last ten years

BROWNSVILLE, Texas - The latest sales tax revenue charts from our friends at Allied Consulting Group shows the figures for every January going back ten years. 

The difference for most cities in the Rio Grande Valley is huge. The sales tax revenues collected in 2015 were much lower than they are today. 

Some cities, such as McAllen, Edinburg, Harlingen, Weslaco, and Port Isabel, have shown regular increases year-on-year. 

Others, such as Raymondville, South Padre Island, San Benito, Palmhurst, and Alton have stalled in recent years. 

The figures are collated from reports issued by the Texas Comptroller's Office.
