The Texas AFL-CIO, Area Labor Federations, Central Labor Councils, and Texas union members say they will gather at multiple events across the state to celebrate Workers’ Labor Day and recommit to fighting for Texas workers. The events will be held in more than ten cities across Texas. The nearest to the Rio Grande Valley will be in Corpus Christi. On Monday, Sept. 1, the Coastal Bend Labor Council will hold its 76th Annual Labor Day Breakfast at the Holiday Inn Corpus Christi Airport & Conference Center between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
