The Brownsville-Harlingen Metropolitan Statistical Area was ranked fourth overall among Area Development magazine’s Top 30 Leading Metro Locations for 2025, according to the Greater Brownsville Economic Development Corporation. The ranking reflects the region’s performance in workforce readiness, economic strength and overall competitiveness. The annual list is used by corporate leaders and site selectors to evaluate locations for business expansion and investment.
