The Brownsville Chamber of Commerce will host its Noche de Gala and Awards Night on Oct. 4 at the Brownsville Events Center. The event will recognize outgoing board members, present community honors including the Ambassador of the Year and Mayor’s Choice Award and feature the passing of the gavel from outgoing chairman of the board, Ben Peña, to incoming chairwoman, Griselda Muñoz. A silent auction is also planned, according to a press release from the Chamber.
