EDINBURG, Texas - Juan José Villarreal Rosales is the president of Consejo de Negocios Regional.
The group was formed in 2022 by around 20 business owners from Reynosa and Rio Bravo that were outside of the maquiladora industry.
The council seeks to influence government policy in order to make Reynosa a more attractive and prosperous city for investment.
"We want business development to translate into better jobs, well-being, and opportunities for our people,” Villarreal said.
Villarrreal visited the Rio Grande Valley recently for a number of meetings, one being with Edinburg Economic Development Corporation. The RGG Business Journal secured a brief interview with Villarreal in Edinburg.
