AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Economic Development Corporation has spotlighted RioPlex as part of its "Welcome Wednesday" series.

"This Welcome Wednesday, we’re excited to spotlight RioPlex, a bold binational initiative uniting the Rio Grande Valley and Northern Tamaulipas to drive economic growth, strengthen trade, and attract global investment.

"Built through collaboration between business leaders, economic development organizations, and public sector partners, RioPlex is positioning the region as a premier hub for manufacturing, logistics, innovation, and international commerce. The initiative brings together the strengths of both sides of the border under one unified vision for growth.

The region is already home to world-class industries spanning aerospace, automotive, medical manufacturing, electronics, logistics, and energy.

RioPlex Chairman Joaquin Spamer thanked TxEDC for the feature and said: "RioPlex is a statewide phenomenum."
