MCALLEN, Texas - RioPlex has a new operations manager and member services lead. He is 25-year-old David Martinez.
Born in Monterrey, Mexico, and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Martinez previously ran his own construction company in Austin, Texas.
Martinez will report to RioPlex Executive Director Mario Reyna.
Martinez gave his first interview to the RGG Business Journal at a RioPlex mixer event held at Plains Capital Bank in McAllen. In the interview, Martinez explained RioPlex’s mission statement, how he plans to ensure RioPlex members receive good value for their investment, and how the group can help market the region globally.
He also previewed a major trade mission RioPlex is hosting in Mexico City in September.
