BROWNSVILLE, Texas - Judith Arrieta Mungia is Mexico’s Consul General in Brownsville.
Twice a month she sits down for an in-depth conversation with the RGG Business Journal about different economic topics.
The latest discussion focused on direct foreign investment (FDI) into Mexico.
During the conversation, Arrieta pointed out that in 2024, Mexico captured nearly one-fourth of all FDI in Latin America and the Caribbean. She also pointed out that in the third quarter of 2025, Mexico broke an FDI record, reaching nearly $41 billion, which represents a 15 percent increase compared to the third quarter of 2024.
