An update on the big McAllen City Center project

MCALLEN, Texas - Michael Fallek, president of Castle Hospitality, has given an update on the eagerly-anticipated McAllen City Center project.

The big retail project is being developed on the site of the old McAllen Civic Center, on the corner of 10th Street and Expressway 83.

“All underground infrastructure is now, by and large, complete and our construction team is working to complete all development work for the new McAllen CityCenter,” Fallek told the RGG Business Journal.

“The first project that will come out of the ground is a two-story, approximately 32,000 square foot multi-tenant building that will be located at the northeast corner of the development.”

Fallek continued: “We are working to finalize leases now for the majority of the space in the new building, and we hope to be in a position to make announcements in the next month or two.”

Fallek added: “We also continue to have meaningful conversations with other potential tenants for other spaces and buildings in the commercial center.”
