Campirano: NextDecade's LNG facility at the Port of Brownsville will have a 'generational impact'

Posted

Dear Friend of the Port,

As the port director and CEO of the Port of Brownsville, it is my utmost pleasure to share with you the latest issue of the Port of Brownsville official directory.

This publication includes the most current information about the only deep water seaport located directly on the U.S.-Mexico border. This 80-page reference provides the essential details of the port’s success, a comprehensive listing of services and providers, along with information about large industrial development projects currently in the works.

In what is guaranteed to have a generational impact, NextDecade Corporation announced in July a positive final investment decision to start construction of its Rio Grande LNG facility at the port. As one of the largest greenfield energy projects financed in U.S. history, Rio Grande LNG will serve as a gateway for natural gas exports, bolstering both the local and national economy.

The Rio Grande LNG project will not only bring substantial economic benefits to our region but also adhere to the highest environmental standards. With a commitment to clean energy, the project will reduce emissions and contribute to a more sustainable future. The Port of Brownsville is a critical asset of the state’s energy sector. We are proud to support initiatives that align with our vision for responsible growth and environmental stewardship.

Our projections for the coming years are aligned with our commitment to sustained growth and providing unparalleled services to our partners.

The Port of Brownsville continues to attract a diverse range of projects and investments. Our strategic location, extensive infrastructure and dedicated workforce have made us an ideal choice for businesses looking to expand their operations. We have witnessed notable advancements in industries such as manufacturing, renewable energy and shipbuilding, further enhancing our position as a leading economic engine in the Rio Grande Valley.

On behalf of the Port of Brownsville, thank you for your interest and support in the port that works.

Respectfully.

Eduardo A. Campirano

Port Director and CEO
