With sincere gratitude, the Starr County Industrial Foundation (SCIF) thanks Mr. Billy Canales for his many years of dedicated service to the SCIF Board of Directors and the people of Starr County.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Canales generously shared his knowledge, leadership, and business experience to help guide important discussions on workforce development, supply chain challenges, economic growth, and community advancement. His insight and commitment helped shape initiatives that benefited not only the SCIF, but Starr County as a whole.
We are also especially grateful for his steadfast support of the SCIF through Rio Motors Company and his commitment to continue its membership.
After years of professional and community service, we fully understand and respect Mr. Canales' decision to step away from active board service and enjoy more time at home with his family and loved ones. While he may be retiring from the Board, the wisdom, guidance, and leadership he provided will continue to influence our organization and community for years to come.
