MCALLEN, Texas - The Texas Freight Advisory Committee, which is administered by the Texas Department of Transportation, met at the McAllen Convention Center on December 17, 2025.
Members of the committee gave an update on their work. Those members included McAllen City Manager Isaac Tawil, Rolando Ortiz of Killam Development, Mission Economic Development Corporation CEO Teclo Garcia, and Charlie Leal, state legislative director for the Texas Farm Bureau. The committee also heard from Pete Alvarez, the TxDOT Pharr District Engineer.
