PHARR, Texas - The Governor's Office of Small Business Assistance teamed up with Pharr Economic Development Corporation to host the 2025 Governor's Small Business Summit.
It was held at the Jose "Pepe" Salinas Memorial Recreation Center in Pharr.
One of the panel discussions was titled: Building Your Dream: A Conversation with Entrepreneurs. The moderator was Carlos Margo, dean of the Center for Advanced Training and Apprenticeships at South Texas College.
The panelists were: Elizabeth Chavez, vice president of development and community engagement for Junior’s Supermarket, Isaac D. Smith, co-owner of Matt’s Building Materials, and Ramon Mery, owner of Lakeway Foods.
